I can’t believe I’m turning 27 next week! Eeeek! This year flew by! I was looking at my To Do List and though I did not check everything off my list, I’m proud of what I’ve done this year. I also think I was just a little bit over ambitious. Reading 26 books in one year is hard! I got to 20…
Now I get to think of 27 things for my 27th year To Do List… hmmm… any ideas?
Here’s what I checked off this year:
3) Travel to a state I’ve never been before – COMPLETED! I’m using Kingston, Ontario as my state!
4) Travel outside of the United States – COMPLETED! Costa Rica Trip! 6/2013
5) Have a picnic in Central Park – COMPLETED!
9) Take a cooking/baking class – COMPLETED!
10) Sing one karaoke song… (one of my worst fears!) – COMPLETED! 1/1/2013
13) Go golfing – COMPLETED! 9/27/13
14) Volunteer and donate! – On going through the Junior League
15) Go to a concert – COMPLETED!! Andrew Belle 7/25/13
17) Run the Eugene Marathon – COMPLETED! 4/28/2013
18) Run the New York City Marathon – Will be COMPLETED on 11/3/13
20) Host a party – COMPLETED! 12/31/2012
I came close to completing some other items on my list so I’ll probably add those to the my 27th Year To Do List. 🙂
Happy Birthday to my MOM!!! I hope you’re having a great birthday!!!! See you at Christmas!!! XOXO
In June I checked something big off my 26 to do list. I went to Costa Rica!!! There was a total of 18 of us! We all had so much fun and I would love to go back someday.
We went zip lining, fishing, explored the area on atvs and just enjoyed the sun. Oh, and the food was amazing! Definitely a trip of a life time 🙂
There were lots of monkeys by the house we stayed in. It was so cool to be near wildlife.
This past weekend flew by. I feel like I had something planned every minute of Saturday and Sunday. I didn’t get to run, but I did get to go to a Pure Barre class on Saturday.
Sunday Ryan and I went to the Jets game. We had so much fun tailgating and hanging out. And the Jets won which is always great!
We were able to cross two more recipes off the 26 New Recipes on the To Do list. We made deviled eggs and the awesome burgers below. They’re chicken and black bean with egg on top. They were soooo good! And healthy too.
I loved our seats. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to go up in the higher seats again. The view was just too goo here!
Ryan celebrating the WIN!
Now it’s Monday and I’m pretty exhausted. I’m pretty certain I’ll be tired the whole month of December. It’s always the busiest month filled with parties and work events… Once January comes I’ll be happy to relax and start training for the Eugene Marathon!
Last night Ryan and I worked on another new recipe. I am now a cooking machine! The recipe last night was – “healthified” garlic shrimp pasta. We used THIS recipe. We also added scallops. (We highly recommend doing that!)
We had to go to two grocery stores to get the perfect ingredients. Mainly to buy the freshest seafood.
I still can’t believe we made this restaurant quality meal. I’m the person who burns stuff! I’m still in disbelief! And a special thank you to my parents for the wine – Seven Hearts is my all time favorite wine!!
I also got a three mile run in before dinner. I’d say yesterday was a total success.
Pure Barre and volunteering tonight!
Okay. It’s official.
I’m addicted to Pure Barre… If I could go every day I would. Work and other commitments just get in the way. Oh, and I also have to keep up my running! Oops.. I didn’t run once last week.
I’ve been working on a ‘Catie’s 26th Year To Do List’
Do you know how difficult it is to come up with 26 things. I need eight more ‘to dos’…
Anyone have any good ideas? I have stuff on my list like – read 26 books – take a cooking class – go to a concert – travel outside of the US.
That kind of stuff.
Summer To Do List
One of the things on my list was to take a cooking class this summer… Well, Ryan and I came close. We SIGNED UP for a cooking class yesterday – which is in November. So it kind of counts… Ryan found this awesome class:
We’re going to take the class in November for our anniversary. I’m SO excited! I’ve been looking at this web site for a year now wanting to take one of the classes. I really want to be a good cook and this will definitely help!
I’m happy to check something else off my summer to do list 🙂
Little Italy – you’re next.
Atlantic City…. I think I’m too old for that place. Or at least where we stayed? and the club we went to? I’m not sure.
I loved seeing all my friends and the dinner we went to beforehand was awesome! Great little reunion. And we were able to celebrate our friend’s recent engagement 🙂
Oh, and I did get my nine miles in. I woke up nice and early on Saturday, 6:25am, to be exact, and hit the park. I had a great run and I didn’t feel tired or sore afterwards. Sleeping on the bus to AC probably helped too.
This week’s training… hmmm… I ran 3 miles on Tuesday… My goal for tonight is to run 5 or more miles, 3 miles on Friday and then I’m running the Boomer’s Run to Breathe race (6.2 miles) on Saturday.
Oh, and then right after the race I have to head straight to Penn Station and go to New Jersey. Ryan and I are going to the beach. Remember that Summer Goals List I made??? yeah… Not doing so great on that list.
I’m tired looking at my week/weekend….
You all know I love making lists and planning… So I thought I’d make a Summer To-Do List!
1) Go to Little Italy
2) Go to the beach at least three times (last year I went once!)
3) Get back to Boston! (I had so much fun this past weekend! Post will be up tomorrow)
4) Take a cooking class (I’m thinking pizza or pasta?)
5) Keep volunteering at NYCares (Just because it’s summer isn’t a reason to get lazy!)
6) Keep running! The New York City Marathon will be here before I know it!
What’s on your Summer To-Do List???
